Symposium: Handling Heterogeneity in the Israeli Education System, 20 January 2013

In January 2013 the "Education for All and for Each and Every One" committee held a symposium on the topic of dealing with heterogeneity in the Israeli education system. The symposium addressed heterogeneity from numerous points of view, including emotional and social, achievement, differences in learning styles and differences due to socioeconomic background.

Guest lecturer was Prof. David C. Berliner from Arizona State University
Prof. Berliner is a member of the (US) National Academy of Education, a Fellow of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, and a past president of both the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the Division of Educational Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA). He is the recipient of awards for distinguished contributions from the APA, AERA, and the National Education Association (NEA). Prof. Berliner has written more than 200 articles, technical reports and book chapters and is the author of numerous books.
