During the summer of 2006, the Initiative held an intensive summer symposium on the topic of "Evaluating Effectiveness in Education" with the participation of Prof. Robert Boruch of the University of Pennsylvania. The course was tailored to the needs of professionals teaching the subject at academic institutions, National Authority for Measurement and Evaluation in Education and the Ministry of Education (Office of the Chief Scientist) and assessment professional from various institutions.
