Professor in the School of Education at Hebrew University; from 2009-2011, Prof. Cohen served as the chairman of the Department of Education and he is currently the director of the School of Education. He is a Mandel Institute Jerusalem Fellows graduate and a senior staff member at the Mandel Leadership Institute. He conducts research in the areas of philosophy of education in general and the philosophy of Jewish education, in particular, hermeneutics and education and theories of curricula. Prof. Cohen holds a Ph.D. degree in Jewish thought and education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, received in 1991.
