Associate professor in the Faculty of Education, heads the Division of Education and Human Development, and directs the specialization in Early Education at the University of Haifa. Her main areas of research are development and learning in early childhood; Interplay between the characteristics of the child and the attributes of the caregiving environment; infant sleep patterns; motor, emotional and cognitive aspects of sleep-wake patterns; bio-behavioral regulation and parent-infant relations and their combined contribution to development. Dr. Scher received her Ph,D. in educational psychology in 1980 from the University of Calgary (Canada).
