Professor of science education in the School of Education at Tel-Aviv University. Her main areas of research are the acquisition and development of mathematical concepts; intuitive rules in science and mathematics; and, teacher training and professional development for teachers of mathematics. Prof. Tirosh received her Ph.D. in mathematics education in 1985 from Tel-Aviv University.
