Prof. Miriam Rosenthal

Bio sketch:
Professor (emeritus) of developmental psychology at Hebrew University of Jerusalem; founded the University's Schwartz Graduate Program in Early Childhood Studies, which she directed from 1975-2004. From 2004-2006, she chaired the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor's advisory committee for the Licensing and Development of Standards for Early Childhood Day Care Environments (ages 0 to 4). Her research focuses primarily on the emotional and social development of young children; quality of educational frameworks and their influence on the daily experience of young children; the influence of social policy on the quality of early childhood educational frameworks; and, education and development from an interdisciplinary perspective. Prof. Rosenthal received her Ph.D. in psychology from Stanford University in 1965.
