Dean of the Social Sciences Faculty at the University of Haifa; professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Professor Mesch is a senior research associate at the University of Haifa's Social Research Center and edits the section on communication and media in the International Encyclopedia of the Social and Behavioral Sciences. He researches the areas of internet and society, adolescents, urbanization, crime and deviation. Professor Mesch holds a PhD degree in sociology from Ohio University (U.S.), received in 1993.
