Prof. Menahem Yaari

Bio sketch: President (Emeritus) the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and Professor (Emeritus) of economics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Yaari is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Association, and the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences. He is a recipient of the Israel Prize in Economics (1987), the Rothschild Prize in the Social Sciences (1994), and EMET Prize Laureate, 2012.
Member of the Initiative steering committee since its foundation, he now serves as its chairperson (since 2008)
