Senior lecturer in the Department of Education at Ben-Gurion University. He studies various aspects of educational inequality, education among minority groups, gender differences in education, and education policy.

His current research focuses on social gaps in access to higher education in Israel and the effect of national and international standardized testing on learning, teaching and education policy.

He holds a PhD in sociology and anthropology from Tel-Aviv University, received in 2009.
