Professor, Department of Philosophy, University of Haifa. He previously served as chair of the Department of Philosophy and was a member of the Committee to Establish a New Code of Ethics for the Israel Defense Forces (“IDF Spirit”), was head of the Committee to Write a Code of Ethics for the University of Haifa, and was a member of the University of Haifa’s General Appointments Committee.

His research concerns normative ethics, the problem of free will, and the meaning of life.

He holds a D.Phil. degree from Oxford University, received in 1990.
