Noga Nahshon
Member, Working group: Common Foundations for Non-Formal Education

Bio sketch:
Responsible for training and in-service education in the Content, Programs, Training and In-Service Education Division of the Ministry of Education’s Society and Youth Administration. She is responsible for the professional development of inspectors and other employees working in both formal and non-formal education. She oversees the training tracks at universities and colleges leading to education employee certificates and education employee licenses. 
Previously, she directed the Shane Seminary - the National School for Education and Youth Employees. She served as a senior advisor to Ms. Dalit Stauber, the outgoing director-general of the Ministry of Education. In addition, she was a national instructor in the Alcohol, Drugs and Tobacco Prevention Service of the Ministry of Education’s Psychological Counseling Service. She served as an advisor to the Revadim Center for Gifted Children in Shoham and directed a program for outstanding students in that community. She developed a set of enrichment courses and student cultivation programs, and instructed employees and parents.
Prior to her positions at the Ministry of Education, she filled various roles including education counselor, counselor coordinator, head teacher, civics, history and psychology teacher, student council facilitator and coordinator and mentor of leadership cultivation programs for youth at risk for dropping out (for ultra-religious youth and a program to combat violence, drugs, and alcohol).
She holds a BA degree in educational counseling and geography from Bar-Ilan University and an MA degree in special education from the University of Haifa. She is a graduate of the training program for principals at the Avney Rosha Institute and holds a teaching certificate in geography.
