Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development and Professor of Education Policy at The George Washington University; President of the National Academy of Education, Member of the Board of Directors of the National Board for Education Sciences (IES), and co-chair of the Consortium for Applied Studies in Jewish Education.

Previous positions include Executive director of the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education, Director of the Center for Education, Director of the Board on Testing and Assessment at the US National Research Council (NAS); Professor of Management and Organizational Sciences at Drexel University; Senior Analyst and Project Director at the US Congress Office of Technology Assessment.

Prof. Feuer consults to educational institutions and governments in the US, Israel, Europe, the former Soviet Union, and the Middle East.

His current research interests are education and inequality, public-private partnerships in science policy, and uses of social science in policy.

Prof. Feuer holds a PhD degree in public policy analysis from the University of Pennsylvania, received in 1980.
