Prof. Avishai Henik
Professor of psychology at Ben-Gurion University where he holds the Zlotowski Chair for Cognitive Neuropsychology. He is a past dean of the university's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. His general field of research is cognitive neuroscience where he investigates attention, processing of individual words, and processing of numerical information. Of late, he has added the area of learning disabilities to his research. In the past, he served as head of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and head of the Zlotowski Center for Neuroscience, both at Ben-Gurion University. He received his Ph.D. in psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1979.
