Professor at Achva College and director of its School of Systems Management; past director of the Henrietta Szold Institute and a senior researcher there; formerly associate professor at Hebrew University's School of Education and head of the Students Department at the Ministry of Education. His main areas of research focus on psychometrics; assessment and evaluation of social and educational programs; organizational psychology in public administration (particularly, educational systems); school-parent communication; and, community schools. Prof. Friedman received his Ph.D. in education management from Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1982.
