Ph.D Anat Shoshani
Member, Consensus committee: Optimal management of professional development

Bio sketch:
Assistant professor in the School of Psychology at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC) and academic director of the Maytiv Center for Research and Practice in Positive Psychology at IDC. She has developed and directed educational interventions for teachers and for students on the topic of applying positive psychology and on methods for coping with exposure to terrorism and war. During the past year, in cooperation with colleagues from Levinsky College, she has led the 'Master Teachers' project in the Jerusalem district and in the Settlement Administration.Her main areas of research are positive psychology, resilience of at-risk children, features of children’s resilience that aid in coping with traumatic events and ongoing stress situations, and the contribution of children’s and adolescents’ character strengths and resilience factors in promoting happiness, mental health, and social, academic and emotional functioning. Dr. Shoshani specializes in clinical psychology and holds a PhD degree in psychology from Tel-Aviv University, received in 2007.
